Reporting the production incentive

Additional support for productions showcasing Tampere

The Film Tampere production incentive operates on a calendar-year basis. The incentive must therefore be reported by the end of the year in which the support was received.

All costs related to the production and incurred in the Tampere region must be included in the final accounts.

The final report must include:

  • a cost breakdown
  • an auditor’s audit report covering the costs incurred in Tampere

The auditor’s report must confirm that the production financing conditions have been met in relation to the reported costs.

The auditor does not need to comment on costs outside the scope of the reported production incentive costs.

Costs related to the project auditor’s audit report may be accepted as direct project costs.

Reporting deadline

The report must be submitted to Niina Virtanen no later than 15 December of the contract year, so that the production incentive can be paid before the budget period changes.

If the production is completed significantly earlier, earlier reporting is strongly encouraged.

Additional incentive reporting

If the production has received additional incentive support, the additional grant must also be reported by the end of the contract year.

A written additional report on the use of the funding must be submitted no later than 15 December during the contract year.

Payment

The production incentive is paid to the bank account stated in the application after:

  • the required cost breakdown has been submitted
  • an auditor’s report on the costs incurred in Tampere has been submitted
  • Film Tampere has reviewed and approved the reporting

Written confirmation of the approval and payment decision will be provided by email before payment.

The production incentive is paid within 14 days of the approval of the report.

Follow-up and audit requirements

The beneficiary must, upon separate request, report on services related to the use of the funding for three years after the end of the project.

The right to audit remains valid for ten years from the final payment of the project.

Project documents and other materials required for supervision and auditing must be retained for at least the same period.

The beneficiary must assist with any audit and provide the necessary information to the auditor without compensation.

The auditor has the right to take possession of materials subject to the audit when necessary.

End credits

The recipient of funding must state that the City of Tampere has funded the project when communicating about the production.

The end credits must also include the logos of:

  • City of Tampere
  • Film Tampere

Film Tampere and the City of Tampere do not specify an exact format for how the funding acknowledgment must be presented. The production may determine an appropriate presentation in relation to its other funders.
